Description
This professional service provides a safe, friendly space for you to explore what is going on for you.  I offer complete confidentiality, acceptance and work in a non judgemental way, allowing you more clarity and a deeper understanding.  I work with whatever issues you bring to the session, and do not focus on goal setting or present you with tasks, we work together to explore your understanding of yourself.  I am qualified to diploma level and am a fully accredited bereavement counsellor. I am a counsellor member of COSCA, and work within their strict ethical framework.

Some people approach me with issues of loss, depression, stress, work related stress, sexuality, relationship issues etc and some just know something is wrong but don't quite know what; together we explore this.  I work in a Person Centred way, offering an empathic, non judgemental way of being.  Although counselling may not be for everyone, in my experience feedback from clients who have engaged in this type of therapy has proven very positive and often life changing.

We quite often address our physical needs when they become obvious, i.e. attending the hairdresser when our hair is in need of attention, going for a massage when we physically ache, visiting the reflexologist, aromatherapist or even a nail bar, all of which make us feel better about ourselves, but when our emotional needs are in need of attention, they are quite often ignored.  Person Centred Counselling can attend to your emotional needs in the same way these other services attend to your physical needs.

If you feel you are struggling with something, or are having difficulty understanding your feelings, or just want to know yourself better, please call and make an appointment.  There is no obligation to carry on if you feel counselling is not for you;  if however, you do want to start the process of healing from within, maybe counselling is worth trying.
